Jennifer Stewart-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire
Included in this week's injury report are Darnell Dockett, Anthony Sherman and Ryan Williams. Which ones are expected to play on Sunday against the Dolphins?
Injuries might be the only things that can stop the Cardinals now.
The team is off to their first 3-0 start since 1974 and by the way they are playing, it does not seem like they are going to lose anytime soon. Unfortunately, it becomes a bit more difficult to win when it seems like half your roster is wounded.
The Cardinals released their injury report after practice on Wednesday and it includes many of the team's top players. For example, Darnell Dockett was unable to practice after leaving during the Eagles game with a pained hamstring. Anthony Sherman is also on the list, which prompted the Cardinals to go out and sign Korey Hall, who might see playing time this Sunday.
Here is the full list:
Adrian Wilson (ankle/groin), Rashad Johnson (hamstring), O'Brien Schofield (knee), Adam Snyder (elbow), John Skelton (ankle), Dave Zastudil (right calf): Limited participants
Ryan Williams (knee), Daryn Colledge (shoulder), Jamell Fleming (shoulder), Jeff King (knee), Kerry Rhodes (foot): Full participants
Darnell Dockett (hamstring), Jim Dray (knee), Todd Heap (knee), Anthony Sherman (hamstring), LaRod Stephens-Howling (hip): Did Not Practice
The thing that worries me the most has to be the tight end depth. With King, Heap and Dray all listed, that leaves just Rob Housler as the sole healthy tight end. The good news is that the Cardinals did not sign a tight end or elevate Steve Skelton to the regular roster, which leads me to believe that these guys are going to be fine, with the exception of Heap.
Dockett and Wilson both being out would be a huge blow to the team. They are two of the biggest leaders on the defense and two of the team's key pieces in the pass rushing department, as odd as that seems. Their loss would definitely be noticed against a mobile quarterback in Ryan Tannehill.
While I think most of these players should be a go for Sunday, we will have to wait and see how it all shakes out. Again, I thought A-Dub would play last week, but how did that turn out?
