Our offensive line has been the center of much attention. The last few weeks, it has garnered as much focus as our Quarterbacks. First it was Levi Brown going down for the season with a torn triceps. Then the circus began as to who was going to fill in where. Just when we think our line couldn't get any more sad it does!!! Jeremy Bridges who can play both guard and tackle is put on IR with a torn thumb ligament. This not only makes our line worse but depletes our depth significantly in case of emergency. What to do????
Suddenly a sign from heaven shows itself. Bryant Mckinnie is possibly being released from Baltimore? This being stated from numerous sources on the internet and even Mckinnies own twitter account? Is this the same tackle I wanted when he was cut from the Vikings? Sure is. So with the mess our line is in and this occurring so miraculously at the same time.... why the hell aren't we jumping all over this?
I love what Bidwill Jr. has done for this organization and I would say he's definitely different than his father. But how different is he really? Is he just as cheap but in a different way? We are way under our cap from what I understand and this is a perfect situation to improve our line significantly. We should be jumping all over this or watching it closely.
What are your guys's thoughts? Is it possible to bring him in if he is released? Will we even make a move? Is Bidwill Jr just a younger mold of Bidwill Sr.?
