It is the time of year for predictions for the NFL season. As part of the SB Nation NFL team, I was asked to participate in preseason awards for a collective post compiling all of our NFL lead bloggers. We picked all the major awards and predicted the Super Bowl and winner.
Take a look at my picks and let me know what you think.
I'm going with LeSean McCoy. I'll admit it. I am buying the Eagles this year, and I think McCoy is going to be a huge piece in that success. He is as good a back as there is in the league. I will say, though, that I am the only one to make that pick.
The voters like stats. I'm going with the sack master, DeMarcus Ware. When the awards post goes out, you will see a lot of love for Patrick Willis. Ware gets some attention from bloggers across the network.
Coach of the Year:
I'm sticking with my theme of the Eagles having a big year. Andy Reid is the guy, and his Eagles are going to be really good this year.
Offensive Rookie of the Year:
Defensive Rookie of the Year:
Another stat position. It won;t be the sacks this time. It will be the tackles. Luke Kuechly will get it here.
Comeback Player of the Year:
I picked the obvious one -- Peyton Manning. He is Peyton Manning, after all.
Super Bowl teams:
I am going with the Eagles out of the NFC. They finally put it all together. Out of the AFC are the Houston Texans. They have the same tough defense, the same running duo and Matt Schaub comes back. Their defense is good enough to give New England trouble and an offense that can do whatever it needs to.
Super Bowl winner:
Houston Texans. Andy Reid is foiled again. And the argument continues that you can't win the big one with a QB like Michael Vick -- never mind he got them to the Super Bowl.
