he NFL regular season kicks off on a Wednesday night. It couldn't be a better matchup. You have the Super Bowl champs in the New York Giants facing the polarizing, but wildly popular Dallas Cowboys. It is an old rivalry and should be a fun game to watch. If you love the Cowboys, you have your team in the spotlight. If you are like Cardinals fans, you hate the Cowboys, but don't really feel much better about the Giants, especially after the "fumble" or "give himself up" play from last season that potentially lost the Cardinals a win and would have kept the G-men from the playoffs ultimately.
It makes it a hard game to handicap, especially since it is early in the season. But each week I will make my own expert pick against the spread for every NFL game. We start with the Cowboys and the Giants.
Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants (-4): The Super Bowl champs start off the year at home against a bitter rival, the Cowboys who faded late in the year in 2011 and could have been in the playoffs had they beaten the Giants in the final week of the season. Early season games are hard to gauge, but despite what you might expect, The Giants will start their season with a Super Bowl hangover against a Dallas team that wants to start quickly. Tony Romo will upstage Eli Manning tonight. Pick: Cowboys +4.
