2012 NFL Predictions: Writers (Mostly) See Cardinals As Struggling This Season

Stay connected for news and updates

The start of most seasons usually means optimism for most fans. The media tends to temper that optimism with a healthy dose of cynicism. This year is no different, except that there seems to be excessive pessimism with the Cardinals and it is also among even fans before we have even seen a single game that counts.

I had the SB Nation Arizona team write their predictions for the Cardinals and the 2012 season. It did not look good.

In fact, I was the only one that predicted a winning record. Please head on over and read why they decided on the team's record, but here are the records they predicted.

Me: 9-7

Tyler: 6-10

Cody Ulm: 7-9

Ryan Bafaloukos: 5-11

Jose Romero: 6-10

Bryan Gibberman: 3-13 (ouch!)

I think the team will be excellent at home, almost running the table. Later today, I will have the ROTB staff's predictions. Personally, I can't believe how down on the team people are. They won seven of nine down the stretch and the defense will be better and special teams will be great. The offense was awful last year, but the team managed to overcome that. I think it will be better this year.
