Has anyone else realized that every team that hosts the Super Bowl does terrible for that year? For example, the Colts and Saints all had terrible seasons during these past two years. They were both hosting the Super Bowl.
This year, the Super Bowl is held in New York. As fate would have it, the New York Giants are now sitting at 0-4.
This is not good news for an Arizona Cardinals team that hosts the Super Bowl next year. If this year was a rebuilding/re-loading year, aren't most fans expecting the Cardinals to come out strong next year? With another draft under our belts, shouldn't we be even better than this year?
The Super Bowl curse is so something to worry about. A team hosting the Super Bowl has never made it to the Super Bowl. So, that means we won't make it to the Super Bowl. So what. However, the last time a team made the playoffs while hosting the Super Bowl was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2000. That spells trouble for the Cardinals.
Is anyone else concerned about this? Is this something stupid no one should worry about, or is it something that we should focus on?
