I know it's not current Cardinal news, but I always suffer from buyers remorse and keep an eye on former Cardinals after they leave the organization. On Beanie Wells, I think they got it right ... cutting ties was the best move they could have made.
DId anyone read this article on ESPN? Beanie Wells is proving again and again that "he is what they thought he was" and that "is" ... is fragile. I know he's played through pain and he's been a starter in the league before, but his time is done. In hindsight he definitely was not worth a 1st round pick, and the baggage from the draft where every pundit was saying he's fragile has come true again and again. This time it happened in a zero contact drill while he should be healthy and in shape from working out and recovering from off season surgery.
I dare say that this might be the very last we hear of Beanie Wells in the NFL. As each year introduces more talent to the NFL, those that could not stick fade away, and this latest injury might just be it for Wells.
