Palmer has not inspired confidence at the helm, even with casual fans. I find myself gripping the armrests on my La-Z-Boy each and every time the ball is snapped into his hands.
The only thing he has inspired in me so far, is a feeling of impending doom.
With all the INTs and sacks he has dug a huge hole for himself. If he is ever going to be "The Guy" we can trust, calling the signals, making decisions and changing plays at the Line of Scrimmage he better stop ALL the mistakes starting NOW!
CP3 has all the tools, talent and an arm to go with it. I have been a big supporter, waiting patiently for him to put it all together. His time is up in my opinion. One more multiple INT performance, turning a winnable game into another loss and I'm ready to replace his ass.
I'm a big fan of oldsters making their mark with experience and a steady hand. Palmer is not showing us that necessary steady hand and that is his fault. One or two iffy games to start a season is one thing, but this has become rediculous. His erratic play has been inexcusable. If it continues after the BYE Week it will be reason to hit the ejection button.
This team should have five or six wins at the break but Palmer has not converted, he has turned the ball over in crucial moments instead.
We are all pulling for Carson to grab this opportunity and become the QB he is capable of being, but when Palmer makes it apparent, that his time has expired, BA must make that call immediately, in time to salvage this season. If that means making a QB change mid-game, I will understand and agree. I bet most other Cardinals fans will also agree.
