Trading Down and Trade Possibilities

We really need a QB ! I also agree we need to upgrade the offensive line. With regard to the defense, we just need a few solid not spectacular players. I'm not an advocate for Fisher at pick 7 because we have Levi and Potter. I'm not an advocate for Warmack at pick 7 because I think it's too high to pick a Guard. As far as QB, I'd pick one at 7 if he was deemed to be the franchise but also understand that might be too high for this class. Quite the quandary. Many have mentioned trading down so I took a look at the possibility and here is what I have come up with.

Trade down to pick 8 to Buffalo. You know, I know, everyone knows they want Nassib. All the Cards staff has to do is speak of Nassib in a positive light and we receive a 6th round pick just for the threat of selecting Nassib ahead of them. I like this trade because we'd get 3 consecutive picks in the 6th and still be able to get our guy or do some more trading. The remainder of the trades we could make with the 7th or the 8th.

Trade down to pick 11 with San Diego. They need a LT and so do the Jets and the Titans. It's very possible Fisher and Johnson could go 9-10 ahead of pick 11. We receive a 4th round pick so SD can protect Rivers blind side with Fisher and make a playoff run.

Trade down to pick 13 with Tampa Bay. They are building with Defense and at pick 7, they will be able to get that marquee defensive player they lack. I think that marquee defensive player is just out of reach at pick 13. We receive a 3rd round pick.

Trade down to pick 18 with the Dallas Cowboys. They are always looking to move up for a marquee player and there will be one there at 7. This is probably the preferred deal to me because Jerry is Jerry. We receive a 2nd round pick because they perceived to be "close".

Trade down to pick 20 with the Chicago Bears. They are also in need of a LT and with the number of teams in need in front if them, I would imagine they'd be interested. We receive a 2nd and a 6th round pick.

Inevitably, trading down is difficult and you need a suitor but we need to jump ahead of the early 2nd round teams and get a QB in the 1st round IMO. We also need to fill more holes than we have picks.

Please add your comments, your trades and ideas for the Cardinals to maximize the upcoming draft.
