First off about having this argument before, here is what I said about David DeCastro last year well before the draft.
The reason I am pulling for DeCastro is because I still want to see what Brown has (1) and I think Brown (God Forbid Me ) is better than the 3rd best Tackle in the draft for another year or two (2).
Now as things worked out DeCastro was injured and so was Levi Brown last year. But im sure most people would admit that a line that included David DeCastro (provided he didnt get hurt) and Brown (provided he didnt get hurt) would of been far superior to what we saw last year crap fest of a line.
Given what we know of Bobbie Massie playing much better at the end of the year we would of been able to keep Kolb upright last year much better and he may never of gotten hurt. This is all what if's but this is leading me to next year and what we need to do.
We need to get the stud Offensive Guard from Alabama Chance Warmack. This is a requirement. Snyder is probably a good backup but now is expendable unless he is going to be your only backup then keep him. Potter while a good player maybe can push Brown for playing time but Levi is still a more solid LT than Potter at this point. I Think Bobbie Massie was a steal and next year will really come into his own. Now we have a possibility to have Levi Brown, Darren Coolidge, Sendline, Warmack, and Massie as our line.
This line has the ability to be good enough this coming year. Keep Kolb upright enough to get more than 5 friggen games out of him. Open a hole big enough a running back.. dont know who but lets fix one problem at a time. All i know is I wish we drafted DeCastro last year and not Floyd...
