Do the Cards absolutely NEED a tackle in this draft?

I pay way too much attention to mock drafts this time of year. One of these mocks has KC going with Joeckel and Jacksonville taking Fisher. Top two tackles off the board. Cards end up taking Geno Smith with #7. The Bills take Lane Johnson out of Oklahoma at #8, so he was a potential pick for the Cards. This mocker (NFL.com analyst Daniel Jeremiah) had a lot of praise for Johnson, saying he "put together one of the best O-lineman workouts" he's ever seen, justifying him as a top 10 pick.

We all agree, the O-line needs help. But does it need most of its help at the tackle position? I'm not sure Potter is starter material, but for a 7th round draft pick just last year, he played pretty well as a rookie LT fill-in. With Levi returning, I'd say he's very good depth (leaving the discussion of moving Levi to guard for another day). Massie showed his growth in the 2nd half of the year, ended up being a capable RT.

A lot of you on here (myself included) are absolutely OK with the Cards taking Warmack with the 7th pick, but a lot of these mockers just refuse to think a team will take a guard that high. 'If they're picking an O-lineman with a top 10 pick, its going to be a tackle'. If the top two guys are gone, will the Cards go a different route with their pick? Will they turn their attention to a QB? Will they trade down? Or will they spurn the accepted NFL drafting etiquette and take a guard? Comment away!
