Wheel Of Fortune!!

Stay connected for news and updates

Spin the wheel and watch where it lands. No one knows where it'll stop but plenty of people hope for the vacation/$10,000/franchise QB slot.

And right now, according to some reports, that little triangle placard that you hold your above your head and squeal if you land on that space would be labeled "Geno Smith". Ahh, but the "bankrupt" buzzer sounds instead; cuz the KC Chiefs just placed a franchise tag on LT Branden Albert. What in the world of Vanna White are you talking about, you ask? Let me offer an explanation:

The Chiefs, with the worst record, hold the number one pick. Speculation, at first pointed towards QB since the supposed weakest link was Matt Cassell. A reported trade, once the league year starts next Tuesday with former SF Niner Alex Smith would quell that notion. So the attention turns to LT where Albert, (despite not being the top blindside guy on the market or in the draft, IMO) is franchised. Therefore, unless Albert is moved to guard, highly unlikely - he's the left tackle going forward.

Then, today KC also signed WR Dwayne Bowe and P Colquitt to terms, eliminating needs there. (Though not the Jaquars, I don't think punter will be one of the first Chief draft picks.)

So what do the Chiefs do with the overall number one pick?

Well, they are weak at CB and the NY Jets are looking for a QB replacement for Mark Sanchez.

Would a swap of the 1st and 9th pick for disgruntled Darelle Revis be that out of line? That would allow the Jets to draft the proposed number one QB coming out of the draft, Eugene Smith, "taking" him away from the Cardinals.

Or after KC shows the R,S,T,L,N and E should we buy another vowel?
