Chance Warmack wants to be a ..... Titan?

I didn’t know where else to put this, so I made a Fan Post about it. Highly touted Alabama guard, who some believe may be the best player in this year’s draft, Chance Warmack has come out and stated that his team of choice to be drafted by would be the Tennessee Titans. He says that he "has never been coached by a true offensive line coach" and that most of his coaches have either been a former TE or even in the case of being at Alabama, a former LB.

Warmack who believes current Titans coach Mike Munchack, who had a much decorated career for the Houston Oilers back in 82’-94’ and current Hall of Famer along with Bruce Matthews, another Hall of Fame lineman, can elevate his game to another level. Warmack goes on to say, "I was more attracted to hearing those two guys being on the same team and to know that it was three hours away from my college. It would be like a dream come true for me."

Now, every player in the draft has a preferred team(s) they would or would not like to play for. Should we read too much into this? More than likely not, however, I thought it was interested because he’s the first player (to my knowledge) that has come out and vocalized where he would like to play. Does Warmack seem like the kind of player where he would refuse to play for a team like when Eli Manning didn’t want to play for the Chargers and forced a trade with the Giants? I highly doubt it. It does however bring back memories of Leonard Davis stating he wanted to be drafted by the Dallas Cowboys, but instead was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals. His play was lackluster and in 2007 when they announced they weren’t going to tender him or resign him he then went to the Cowboys and became an All-Pro guard.

What are your thoughts? Do you find this concerning or see a Leonard Davis comparison?
