Now im not suggesting that the cards are a weak team,we have,as BA has indicated,a talented roster & w/a tweak here & there, can become a very good team.
But the discussion has raged about the importance of the qb position,if a team is thin & depleted,is all it takes to revive the franchise & it's fortunes a stud signal caller?or is there more to it than that?
We all realize that there are qb's in the league who are a cut above the rest,Tom Brady/Drew Brees & Aaron Rodgers are just a few who come readily to mind, lets say for example that any one of these players were the cards qb's last season, how much success would they have w/a 32nd ranked run game & 29 sacks in 4 games?
How much support does a qb need in order to be reasonably successful? & how much would he need in order to win it all?(We have an example of this in our own recent history w/Kurt Warner,we had him & a great receiving corps & little else,so if we had supplied him w/the kind of o-line support we are assembling now & perhaps provided him w/a decent running game to compliment his great talent, then how much further could he have taken the team? a provocative question i know, but still an important one nontheless.)
