Arizona Cardinals offseason: Predict the surprises on the regular season depth chart

Benny Sieu-US PRESSWIRE

Right now, the Cardinals have a 90 man roster which only 53 will remain at the start of the season (excluding the practice squad). We know generally who's starting at what position from the previous weeks OTA's. However, there could be a few upset specials, as frequently happens. I have a few of my own that I'm looking out for. Now, of course, these are long shots, but who doesn't like the underdog?

My first upset special is Justin Bethel to start at CB2. I thought when I saw him briefly at corner last year, he looked pretty good. He's been officially moved to CB from safety giving him a more focused position. The kid is more yoked than any of us realized and as we all know, he can jump out of the building. What do you think his chances are of moving past Cason and Powers ?

My second upset special is Jim Dray to start at the TE1 position. Jim has been around a while now and he hasn't been much of an impact aside from on special teams. In BA's offense, well rounded TE's will be a key component. Dray is battling against Housler who's blocking hasn't come around yet, King who's injury problems are hindering his ability to compete and a couple of guys off the street. I see Dray in very much the same mold as another TE BA brought along, Heath Miller. Do you think Dray has any shot at taking over the TE1 position ?

Who are your upset picks for this year's depth chart?
