The last time the divisions were revamped was in 2002, to due to expansion as the Houston Texas joined the fold of the NFL. There was some jostle in the newly created divisions and some stayed practically the same. The new divisions kept some of the old rivalries and created new ones as we've seen the rivalry of the 49ers and Sea Hawks blossom and seen more rivalries being kept in tact such as the Giants and Cowboys or New England and the Jets. I believe in the motto "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" I am however, curious to see what other opinions are if new divisions were to be created at a future date, and what they might look like. One would think that the NFL divisions would be created geographically, and cut down on travel some bit., at least inside the division and Conference. So here's a go at some hypothetical divisions starting with are very own NFC West. Lets face it Dallas does not belong in the East nor do the Chiefs and St. Louis belong in the west.
Now many of you may call this blasphemy, but it is possible in the NFL not only in ratings but as player safety is a concern due to fatigue. Remember this is only an idea, and I do not believe it will happen anytime soon, but I would like to see some sort of change happen to the divisions. What do you all think? What would you like to see in any new divisions if they were formed? The changes proposed would split rivalries and create new ones but would bring a rivalry that I personally like to see be renewed and that is between Arizona and Dallas.
