I hang my head in shame...

I have said much in the previous months expressing my blind optimism for the performance of this new regime. To this point, I have had nothing to either base my faith on nor reject my faith over. To this day, I have chosen to look at the additions by Steve Keim and chosen to say that those additions will bring us Ws in the win column - instead of taking a "wait-and-see" standpoint. This has been my error. This is a formal confession to the fans of ROTB that the koolaid has clouded my vision. I now have regressed to neutral, and will no longer see things in the rose-colored tint that I have seen them since the new regime took over...

I won't go into what I saw, play-wise, but I will say this: the showing the Cardinals had against the San Diego Chargers was absolutely disgraceful. Yes...it was the preseason...yes...I may be taking this too seriously...but I will not forget this. At the point in the preseason that many believe to be the "closest thing to the regular season," this team had the worst showing so far, in front of their home stadium. Put simply, the nest has been overturned and has fallen from it's perch in the trees to the ground for me...

I am now grounded, and will not be swayed by the winds of optimism...as a result, I am fasting from ROTB, my promised land...until the day comes that I have something to be optimistic about again...I hang my head in shame and eat crow.
