Any win is a good win, so the fact that the offense sputtered at times Sunday goes down a bit smoother than if they had lost. In their 2013 home opener, the Arizona Cardinals defeated the Detroit Lions by a final count of 25-21 in front of yet another sellout crowd.

Four of the five plays you will see below helped the Cardinals (1-1) earn their first victory of the new season, and one had zero impact on the final score -- it's just that awesome.

Here are your nominees for the Week 2 play of the game.

Ellington's first touchdown

Rookie running back Andre Ellington would have had a touchdown reception on a wheel route last week in St. Louis had quarterback Carson Palmer thrown an accurate ball.

Well, they ran it again, and this time it was accurate.

Peterson to Taylor

The Cardinals practiced this play a handful of times at Cards Camp in August, so you had to figure it was only a matter of time before head coach Bruce Arians called it in a game. It worked well, as cornerback Patrick Peterson connected with the recently promoted Kerry Taylor for 17 yards and a first down.

Bethel is special

We've seen this result before, but never in a regular-season game until now. Justin Bethel is one of the best special teams players in the NFL, and he proved it once again by saving the team with this blocked kick. It set up the offense at its own 42-yard line in the fourth quarter with a chance to take the lead.

Floyd eliminates the threat

This aforementioned play indeed had zero effect on the final score. It's just too awesome not to share. That's receiver Michael Floyd taking out Lions defensive end Jason Jones, who outweighs Floyd by 56 pounds.

Mendenhall's second effort

To win football games, every player must give 100 percent of himself to the game every snap he's on the field. Running back Rashard Mendenhall did that on this 1-yard touchdown run that proved to be the game-winner against Detroit.
