"Play action wont work w/o a strong run game"

The former quote was made a few weeks back by Ron Wolfley on AZSports,(check out the write-up,it was quite compelling,)could that be the reason BA got Rashard Mendenhall to come to AZ & also got a couple of RB's in april's draft?
As I have been saying in previous posts, the reason our passing game was so ineffective in 2012,(other than qb play & o-line woes,)was an anemic run game that made our offense so one dimentional that it was easy for most teams to plan for us,"Ignore the run,& attack the qb,"was the simple but effective method used ad-nauseum throughout the season.
Most of us have wondered aloud,"But why did we win in 2011 w/Skelton if indeed it's all about the qb?" look @ our rush statistics from 2011,(101.6 ypg,) vs.our 2012 statistics,(75.3 ypg,) it was only after our run game went to the infirmary that the teams win streak came to a screeching halt & the 9 game slide started. We know the addition of Carson Palmer was important,& having an upgrade of this type can only increase our chances of success,(Jess's write up 4-6 weeks ago about how many wins CP adds by being here was a good one,)but just as it was w/Kurt Warner, how much MORE success could he have w/a good o-line & good run game to balance our offense,(perhaps instead of 22 td's he may be capable of 35 instead,)so it looks like BA & company are way ahead of us on this & realize that,if we want to become a GREAT team ,then a one dimentional approach wont cut it anymore,(so what are your thoughts on this subject? how much does the passing game rely on the run game for greater success?)
