After a little bit of drama during the week, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Drew Stanton will not play on Sunday Night Football. The Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks released their inactive lists and Stanton is on it -- he will not dress for the game.
So, despite the work he got in practice on Thursday, it will be Ryan Lindley who will start and play, except maybe a few plays in which the team might throw Logan Thomas on the field for.
The rest of the inactives for Arizona are no surprise.
Stanton, receiver Brittan Golden, safety Chris Clemons, guard Jonathan Cooper, nose tackle Alameda Ta'amu, guard/center Anthony Steen and defensive end Kareem Martin.
With Cooper out, Paul Fanaika returns to the starting lineup at right guard. Ted Larsen moves back over to left guard, where he played the first 12 games of the season.
Seattle will have two offensive line starters inactive. Left tackle Russell Okung and center Max Unger are not dressing for the game. Alvin Bailey steps in at left tackle and Lemuel JeanPierre will do so at center.
The other inactives for the Seahawks are receiver Chris Matthews, defensive tackle Travian Robertson, receiver Kevin Norwood, tight end Tony Moeaki and defensive end Demarcus Dobbs.
