Is the future Cardinals quarterback already playing in the NFL?

It's been a great free agency for our Redbirds, but we seem to be so infatuated with the present that we forget that a qb of the future needs to be addressed soon. I for one would love to see Mettenberger as a late round draft choice but I believe the cardinals have at least an equal if not better answer that would cost the same draft range.

Mike Glennon is not in good graces in Tampa. Lovie Smith and former Redbird Jason Licht brought in our own "Tears of Mccown" and word out of Tampa is that Glennon is not in the future plans for the Bucs. Coming out of NC State, Glennon was mocked by many people to be drafted by the Cardinals because he had many traits Arians likes in a qb. 6'6 and 225 with a cannon for an arm, it seemed like a perfect fit in Az. For whatever reason the Cards passed and Tampa snatched him in the 3rd. I personally wanted Glennon but not in the first like some mocks had him going(for the record I also wanted Larry Warford in the second, but I digress..)

I would like to see the Cards offer a 4-5th rounder for Glennon, let him sit behind Palmer for the next couple of years and then step in and be the man for the team. Glennon started 13 games last year for a dumpster fire of a team, possibly the most dysfunctional team in the NFL and put up respectable stats for a rookie. 19 tds, 9 picks with a completion % of just a touch under 60, 2600 yds and a QB rating of 83.9(exactly the same as Palmer). I know, he threw 2 of those 9 picks to PP21 but I blame Schiano more than Glennon for channeling his inner Mike Miller and throwing late in the 4th with the lead.

Glennon did all this with less at WR than the Cards have (albeit Vincent Jackson IS a stud), and with his workhouse RB out for the yr. Granted, whether any of you out there like it or not Fitz is not going to be a Redbird in a couple of years unless he gets his ring here and takes a drastic discount(again, I digress). So that's my pick for the Cards franchise qb after Palmer hangs em up. Forget the whole Skelton/Hall/Kolb thing, all you old timers are just as sick as I am of the Stoney Case/Dave Brown/Kent Grahm/Jeff Blake/Shaun King/ John Navarre days. I could be wrong, lord knows it wouldn't be the first to tenth time, but after watching Glennon play I believe he has the chance to be a very good Qb in The Arians system. Talk to me Redbird Nation, agree or disagree I won't bash you like others like to do
