Writer picks WHO to win the Super Bowl?!

We've heard the same refrain all offseason regarding the Cardinals - "They're going to be a very good team, but with the losses of Dansby and Washington, with Carson Palmer at QB, and in the NFC Best with Seattle and San Francisco, they're just not going to be good enough for the playoffs this season. Sorry about that, Cardinals fans. Better luck in 2015."

Well, apparently one writer disagrees. Paul Domowitch, NFL Columnist for the Philadelphia Daily News on philly.com, in a column with the moniker "Nostrodomo", had some very interesting predictions about the upcoming season, including a couple of unusual picks for the Super Bowl this year:

So even though I have the Seahawks and Broncos 1-2 in my power rankings right now, I'm going to play the odds and bet that neither of them makes it back, which means it's almost certain both of them will. But I'm going to go with Arizona and Indianapolis. The Cardinals will become the first host team to qualify for the Super Bowl. They'll win the game, but the victory parade will be pushed back 2 weeks to give the retirees out there extra time to get to the parade route.

The Cardinals?

The Cardinals.

He goes on to write that despite the obvious strengths of Seattle and Denver, the difficulties of repeating to the Super Bowl have been so challenging to teams that history has seen repeat participants be few and far between.

"Nostrodomo" supports his prediction by citing several Cardinals statistics from last year in surprising detail for a non-Arizona writer, specifically the dramatic improvement over the last 9 games of the season.

While the chances of it happening might still be fairly remote given the strength of the division and the NFC, it's refreshing to see a member of the media so far removed from Arizona and the Cardinals recognize the strengths and potential for this team this season.

What do you think, Cardinals fans? Did someone somehow slip some of the Cardinals Koolaid into "Nostrodomo"'s philly cheesesteak, or is this obviously knowledgeable genius writer on to something for the upcoming season that everyone else is overlooking?
