Rodger Goodell recently changed the new domestic abuse case enforcement regulations, I will put up the article strait from NFL.com:
Quote: |
In the detailed letter (sent to NFL Owners), Goodell announced that violations of the Personal Conduct Policy regarding assault, battery, domestic violence or sexual assault that involve physical force "will be subject to a suspension without pay of six games for a first offense." A second offense will result in banishment from the NFL for at least one year. An individual can petition for reinstatement after one year, but "there will be no presumption or assurance that the petition will be granted." |
this new policy was enacted after the negative backlash reguarding Ray Rice's 2 game suspension, and now, not only is Daryl Washington going to feel the force of his clear overreaction to his marijuana abuse, but he will also be one of the first to test drive the 6 game suspension for and domestic abuse.
as a fan of the NFL, I am very disappointed in Goodell for letting this happen, now Daryl Washington will get exactly 3 times the suspension Ray Rice will get.
