Wednesday meant a return to practice for the Arizona Cardinals and it was time to prepare for the St. Louis Rams. With that return to practice, we get the first injury report of the week. For the Cardinals, that list has shrunk a bit. For St. Louis, it wasn't long, but everyone on it was a complete non-participant in practice.
The only player not to practice for Arizona was rookie receiver J.J. Nelson, who is still recovering from his separated shoulder.
Running back Andre Ellington was limited, practicing for the first time since he was injured. Head coach Bruce Arians said Ellington playing this week against the Rams is about 50-50. He can run fine in straight lines, but the change of directions is still an issue.
Guard Mike Iupati was limited as well. He was very close to playing against the Niners, but told the staff on Sunday he couldn't go. We will see the rest of the week how things go with him.
Linebacker Alex Okafor was limited with a shoulder injury, but he was last week as well and still played.
The one new player to appear was receiver John Brown. He was limited with a shoulder injury.
For the Rams, all were DNPs. Safety Maurice Alexander sat out with a groin injury. Receiver Kenny Britt sat out with a shoulder injury. Ljnebacker James Laurenitis sat out as a simple day off. Running back Chase Reynolds missed with a knee injury. Finally, defensive lineman Eugene Sims sat out with a knee injury.
