With the 42-17 win over the Detroit Lions, the Arizona Cardinals didn't have a lot of offensive snaps. In fact, there were only 46. How was that time divided? Have a look.
Quarterback: Carson Palmer, 33; Drew Stanton, 13
Palmer managed to throw three touchdowns in 33 snaps. Nicely done.
Offensive line: Bobby Massie, 46; Jonathan Cooper, 46; Mike Iupati, 36; Lyle Sendlein, 36; Jared Veldheer, 36; Earl Watford, 10; A.Q. Shipley, 10; Bradley Sowell, 10
All this tells us is the game was so out of hand they even used the second team offensive line for a couple of series.
Running backs: Chris Johnson, 17; Andre Ellington, 13; Stepfan Taylor, 10; David Johnson, 4
Johnson played 17 snaps and had 11 carries. When he is in the game, he is being used. It is also interesting to note that the offense started moving when Johnson was in the game and being used. You have to like the efficiency of David Johnson -- four snaps, two touchdowns.
Receivers: Larry Fitzgerald, 35; Michael Floyd, 32; John Brown, 26; Jaron Brown, 15; Brittan Golden, 8
Floyd got more snaps than John Brown because Floyd stayed in the game when Drew Stanton played. Smokey is still ahead of Floyd.
Tight ends: Darren Fells, 44; Jermaine Gresham, 20; Troy Niklas, 4
We see one thing -- it appears the Cardinals used a tight end on every play.
