My First Cardinal's 2015 Mock Draft

My first attempt at a mock draft off here. I used Fanspeak and the CBS board:

1st Round- Trade to New England Patriots (Rd 1 pick 32 and Rd 3 pick 32). Selected Owamagbe Odighizuwa DE (pick 32)

Didn't see true value @24 so traded back for an extra pick in the third. Thought this pick will help provide a pass-rush but with the ability to still play other roles too. Also considered Melvin Gordon, Kevin Johnson.

2nd Round- Trade to Tampa Bay Bucaneers (Rd 3 pick 1 and Rd 4 pick 10)

Had several players I liked here and felt at least one would still be available at the pick in the 3rd round so decided to add the 4th round pick with a couple of players in mind. Available were Paul Dawson, Jay Ajayi, Nelson Agholor, Duke Johnson, Ronald Darby, Jalen Collins.

3rd Round- Paul Dawson ILB (pick 1), Tevin Coleman RB (pick 22), Tyler Lockett WR (pick 32)

Couldn't pass on Paul Dawson here, super productive and could wreak havoc with Wetherspoon / Washington. Tevin Coleman is a strong solid runner who is good in pass protection and would compliment Ellington. Tyler Lockett as an extra receiver with potential to be an immediate impact in the return game. Also considered Dorsett here instead but Lockett's special teams ability gave him the edge. Was slightly disappointed not to grab a CB in this round but went for best player available at each pick.

4th Round.- Rob Havenstein OT (pick 10), Steven Nelson CB (pick 24)

Havenstein is the future right tackle, huge guy with impressive athleticism and gives us options with Massie in the final year of his contract. This was the guy I was hoping for with the extra 4th round pick. Finally got my CB in Nelson who has potential to be a solid starter in a couple of seasons, also considered Ifo Ekpre-Olomu who has great talent but is coming off a serious injury which put me off.

5th Round- Zack Hodges OLB (pick 23)

Pass rusher with potential who had good production in college, has speed but needs to bulk up a little at NFL level. More of a project pick but has a high ceiling for a round 5 pick. Also considered Darren Waller as a mismatch TE/WR for a red zone threat and Blake Bell as a project TE with good blocking skills.

6th Round- Matt Jones RB (Pick 22)

Big running back for short yardage situations and depth as I am not sold on Stepfan Taylor or Marion Grice.

7th Round- Mario Alford WR (pick 24), Tyeler Davison DT (pick 39)

Small shifty speedster receiver with good production numbers from a small school. Brought in for competition in special teams as a Kick/Punt Returner. Tyeler Davison is a big nose tackle with great athleticism, raw in terms of technique but potential to be a plugger in the run game with some coaching.

Overall I was pleased with the draft and managed to fill a good number of needs with guys who can play straight away in the first 3 rounds. I was desperately hoping for some players to fall but managed to trade back when they didn't and grab extra picks which I think have provided good depth with some very high upside in a year or two. What do you guys think?
