So the New England Patriots cheated. They were punished. Guess what? Every team cheats. In light of the whole scandal about underinflated balls, let's make light of the situation and discuss the Cardinals and cheating.
Believe it or not, there is a site called YourTeamCheats.com and it goes over the last many years and highlights how each team has cheated. That includes our Arizona Cardinals.
The crazy thing? Ball tampering is something the Cardinals have "more probably than not" been involved with, dating back more than 10 years.
How have the Cardinals cheated?
They have one of the lowest cheat scores among all teams.
They have been involved with league-wide cheating, but that doesn't really count as cheating since everyone was doing it -- filming other teams, tampering with visitors' headsets, free agent tampering and more.
However, the Cardinals have two former quarterbacks who admit they (and others) tampered with footballs. Jeff Blake admitted to having attendants deflate balls (DEFLATEGATE IN 2003!) and Matt Leinart said everyone tampers with the footballs.
Twice in the last five years they have had players busted for performance enhancing drugs (receiver Ed Gant in 2010 and receiver Gerrell Robinson in 2012).
So should we look at the Patriots scandal differently?
After all, the saying goes, "he who is without sin..."
