We are a day close to the NFC Championship Game and there was a little bit of good news for Carolina Panthers fans. Defensive end Jared Allen, who has a foot fracture and is doubtful for the game on Sunday, was able to practice on Thursday on a limited basis, as was running back Jonathan Stewart. Both were non-participants Wednesday. Whether they can play Sunday is something else.
Defensive tackle Dwan Edwards, who sat out Wednesday, was a full participant. Running back Fozzy Whitaker also was listed again but practiced fully.
For Arizona, there was no change at all to the injury report. The same five players who were limited on Wednesday were limited on Thursday. Those players were cornerback Justin Bethel (ankle), receiver John Brown (shoulder), running back David Johnson (toe), defensive tackle Josh Mauro (calf) and defensive tackle Frostee Rucker (ankle). Head coach Bruce Arians said on Wednesday there are basically no injuries. It doesn't sound as if any of these players will be in danger of missing Sunday's championship game.
