It has been a while since the Arizona Cardinals looked like the playoff team we all expected them to be heading into 2016.
Yet, there have been some good times each week.
The Good
Arizona Running Game: The Cardinals found their running game and showed that they can be a ground and pound, ball control offense. David Johnson is fantastic and should make the game easier for all involved.
Arizona Cardinals pass rush: For years, the Arizona Cardinals have been looking for help, for a franchise pass rusher and they have that in Chandler Jones and Markus Golden.
The Bad
Injuries: The Arizona Cardinals have a problem, the injury bug bit them and they have not recovered. Offensively, it is the line, the heavy investments made by Steve Keim and the Cardinals have not worked as Jared Veldheer sits at home with Evan Mathis and wherever the hell Jonathan Cooper is. D.J. Humprhies is having his growing pains, but everything else? Yuck.
Carson Palmer’s Luck: What was one of the best years of his career is now being followed up by the law of averages, meaning Palmer is back to being Carson Palmer. You see what he does week in and week out, he’s not bad, but he is maddeningly inconsistent.
The End(?)
Is the 2016 Cardinals season... over?
I sure as hell hope not, for selfish reason, but also because, this three years has been so much fun and to see this run end in... apathy would be disappointing. It does not mean the entirety of the Arians and Keim era is over, just that this iteration seems to be closing in on it.
The Ugly
Special... Teams... Sucks
