The Arizona Cardinals continue to deal with minor injuries (in terms of length not actual injuries) and Bruce Arians has confirmed that John Brown will enter into the NFL concussion protocol.
Brown hit his head on the turf in yesterday's practice and had to leave camp afterwards. He will miss some time moving forward until he is cleared to return.
Evan Mathis was feeling fatigued in his surgically repaired leg, but it should have no lasting effects for the veteran right guard, after he left practice on Sunday afternoon. He will also be held out of Monday's practice, but is listed among the veteran's being given a day off, and not because of an injury.
Joining Mathis on the veteran day off is running back Chris Johnson and quarterback Drew Stanton, so if you are heading out to practice on Monday, be aware.
Brown joins expected starters Jermaine Gresham, Frostee Rucker, Justin Bethel and Tyrann Mathieu on the list of injured players. Brown's absence could be a blessing in disguise though, as it will allow other wide receivers a chance to play with the first team offense.
