Cardinals Vs. Seahawks Week 17 Open Thread

This is it. It is the last game of the disappointing, but (as of late) thrilling 2011 season for the Arizona Cardinals. It ends against the Seattle Seahawks, who beat the Cards in Seattle 13-10 long, long ago when Beanie Wells was unable to play because of his hamstring.

John Skelton is likely to get the start, the Cardiac Cards are likely to still continue.

Seattle and Arizona have identical records -- overall, in conference and in division. Who will come out on top? Hopefully the Cards do. Join in on the conversation one last time.

Cardinals Vs. Bengals Week 16 Christmas Eve Open Thread

The Arizona Cardinals are back East playing the early game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Both teams must win to just stay in the hunt for a playoff berth, and are hoping for an early Christmas gift. While it has not been announced, it appears that Cardinals QB John Skelton will once again get the start, where he is 4-1 when he starts. The Bengals will try and log only their second victory of the season against a non-losing team.

The game will be aired on FOX.

Cardinals Vs. Browns Week 15 Open Game Thread

Photo

The Arizona Cardinals seek their fourth straight win and sixth in seven against the Cleveland Browns. A win would bring the Cardinals' record to 7-7, an amazing feat, considering the 1-6 start to the season. Jon Skelton will start for Arizona and Seneca Wallace will be the guy to go for the Browns. Both of the regular starters, Kevin Kolb and Colt McCoy, suffered concussions in their last start.

The game is being aired on CBS. If you haven't yet done so and would like to join in on the talk about the game, sign up for a free account. There is no waiting period, so you will be able to jump right in. Enjoy the game and comment away.

Cardinals Vs. 49ers Week 14 Open Game Thread

Photo

The Arizona Cardinals are hosting the rival San Francisco 49ers at University of Phoenix Stadium. The roof will be open, so the hatred can spill out the stadium and into the air. The Cardinals seek to stop a five-game skid against San Fran and keep up their slight chances for the playoffs. If they can win, it will be the first time in five seasons that the two teams split the season series.

Will the Cardinals turn the ball over? Will Kevin Kolb build on his second half performance last week? Can the Cardinals be the first team to score a rushing touchdown on the vaunted Niners defense? We will soon find out.

Arizona Cardinals At St. Louis Rams Week 12 Open Thread

Kevin Kolb or John Skelton? We thought it would be Kolb this week. As of Saturday, it looked like Skelton would start. Regardless who starts, the Cardinals will be looking to win their seventh straight game on the road against the 2-8 Rams. At 3-7, the Cardinals are trying to recover from a 23-7 loss to the San Francisco 49ers that easily could have been 20 points worse.

Now the Cardinals are on the last game of their tough road stretch. After this game, they have one road game left. They will return home to face the Dallas Cowboys next week. Will it be after a victory? We shall see. Hit the jump to join the conversation.

Cardinals Vs. Eagles Open Thread

Today's game between the Arizona Cardinals and the Philadelphia Eagles was supposed to be Kevin Kolb's triumphant return to Philadelphia. Too bad he is not yet recovered from his turf toe and bone bruise.

Can Beanie Wells be effective enough to give the Eagles defense problems? Will the Cardinals defense be able to slow LeSean McCoy, Michael Vick and the high-powered Philly offense? Can John Skelton cause an actual QB controversy?

These are the questions to be answered in this ball game.

Cardinals/Rams Week 9 Open Thread

Sunday is upon us again. The 1-6 St. Louis Rams are at University of Phoenix Stadium and we will find out who is the worst team in the NFC West. It may be a battle of backups, as Kevin Kolb is doubtful for the game and Sam Bradford is listed as questionable.

The Cardinals overall are banged up a bit, with several important players on the injury report. Todd Heap, Beanie Wells and Jim Dray should all play, but their effectiveness may be less than 100 percent.
