The Bears are who they thought they were

http://boards.chicagobears.com/forums/thread/1891578.aspx

I found this on the Cardinals forums, and I thought it was an interesting read.

It's funny how time changes perspectives. A little over three years ago the Chicago Bears were undefeated and destroying every opponent in site. A Monday night showcase game against the lowly Arizona Cardinals was being hyped up as a David vs Goliath on steroids. No one thought the Cardinals even had a chance. But then, something unexpected happened, the Bears turned out to be who (Dennis Green) thought they were.

Before the game, the Bears were the talk of the league. For a few years running the Bears had a great young defense and special teams units that were leading the Bears to victories while the offense sputtered along. It was that defense and special teams that were expected to win the games, while the offense did its best not to screw it up. But this year, this year was different. The Bears finally had their young starting Quarterback, Rex Grossman, on the field and healthy. Grossman and the offense were so effective that he was even being hyped as an early season MVP front-runner.

During the ESPN Monday night pregame show, commentator Joe Theisman, predicted that the Bears would go undefeated en route to a Superbowl victory. Even though there had only been one team in the history of the NFL to accomplish that feat, amazingly, this prediction wasn't met with much criticism at all at. It seemed that the Bears had convinced everyone that they were unbeatable.

When the game started the Cardinals came out with a full head of steam. Their young offense led by rookie Quarterback Matt Leinart torched the Bears and their tampa 2 defense by throwing quick slant routes underneath the Bears safety's and behind their Linebackers. This negated the Bears fearsome pass rush by not allowing time to get to the quarterback with their front four, a key component in the tampa 2 scheme.

On the other side of the ball, Quarterback Rex Grossman was being harassed up the middle by the Cardinals defense and by the end of the game he had committed 6 turn overs, 2 lost fumbles and 4 interceptions. By half time, the Cardinals were on top of the Bears 20-0.

In the second half, the Bears led a furious comeback, in part because of mistakes the Cardinals made, and because the Bears overall talent level far exceeded that of the Cardinals. The Bears were able to squeeze out a 24-23 victory thanks to a missed field goal by Cardinals kicker Neil Racker's at the end of the game. The Bears had remained undefeated.

The post game press conference given by Cardinals head coach Dennis Green is still famous today, during the conference he famously screamed "The Bears are who we thought they were!". Furious over the loss and and a poor 2-4 start by the Cardinals, Green truly flew off the handle. I remember watching the conference laughing hysterically at what Green was saying. At the time I just figured that the Bears had played a terrible game and were so good, that they still couldn't lose. I almost looked at it as a sign that the Bears were destined to go undefeated and become a power house for the foreseeable future. Like I said, Its funny how time changes perspectives.

What really happened that game was the beginning of a war, a war the Bears would eventually lose. The battle that night against the Cardinals, even though it was a defeat for the opposition, became the blue print on how to beat the Bears. Dennis Green and the Cardinals had exploited the Bears version of the Tampa 2 defense. With the blue print in place, teams began to apply maximum pressure to Quarterback Rex Grossman and it soon became clear that Grossman wasn't a new found star in the NFL, but

a player taking advantage of the surprise of the Bears deep passing game. Under pressure Grossman was famously nick named "good Rex, bad Rex" for his massive inconsistencies the rest of the year. Grossman who started the season with 10 touchdown passes vs just 3 interceptions would finish the year at 23 touchdown passes and 20 interceptions.

But it wasn't just Grossman that was exposed that night, the Defense, who had finished number 2 in overall defense the year before and were looking as dominate as ever in the first half of the 2006 season finished the last 6 games giving up over 360 yards of offense per game. En route to what would turn out to be a 13-3 campaign finishing in a Superbowl loss to Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts.

That night in Arizona, David took on this new super Goliath and hit him square between the eyes with a rock. Although they didn't defeat Goliath, they showed not only that it could be done, but how to do it.

Since then, the mighty Bears have been merely average, 20-19 in the regular season, a game above .500 and haven't been back to the playoffs since. Injuries and age has contributed to the decline of the defense, but it was that night that started their decline, the night we found out, The bears were who they thought they were.

Thoughts?

Ask Windy City Gridiron

Okay Cardinals fans, since I haven't seen anyone from the Bears page making this thread, and because that I am also a fan of the Bears since a lot of people in my family are from Chicago, I'll just do it myself.

I know enough about how the Bears have played this season to answer most of your questions, and hopefully someone from Windy City Gridiron will drop by to help out.

So, ask away.

Running Backs carring the load of our strugling offence

5 of the last 6

In the giants game we had Beanie Hightower and Wright score. Not our pro bowl receivers. Not our grey bush QB. In the Carolina game Stevens-Howling and Hightower scored then Patrick who i said last week exspect more from him. For us being a passing team i dont think of our running backs alot when i see the score. Now im wondering if warner can see into the secondary at all so this must be the reason he just checks down to the rb's. when i watch this game i see wide open people down field and it looks like Warner does not feel comfortable throwing deep. has any one noticed that on every pass of 25 yrds or more there has been no completions. but rather a ball landing at the feet of or soring over the head of our great recievers.

Does Warner control the cardinals tempo?

Is it just me? Or have over people noticed.

It seems that our favorite quarterback* Warner, is always the quickest to give up.

Whenever we are down by 14 or more its seems Warner packs it in your next week and goes on auto pilot.

Just me?

I know hes the better qb, but heart is also part of a qb's arsenal.

*favorite quarterback: it seems as if a good % of the cardinals nation is like me and wanted to see leinert this year.

What should we do with Leinart?

As most of you probably know, I am one of the Cardinals fans who thinks that Leinart has a lot of upside, and we should try to let him get some gametime whenever it is possible, but after seeing how it looks like Warner's hip injury is bothering him more than he is saying it is I'm wondering if it is time to let him get his shot.

Don't get me wrong, Kurt Warner is one of my favorite football players of all time, I have been a fan of him since I first saw him with the 1999 St. Louis Rams, and I think that he still has the talent to play well, but I'm starting to get concerned. As we saw on Sunday, even though Kurt is capable of some amazing things, he will occasionally lay an egg and make some mind boggling mistakes. But he has had a career that should guarantee a spot in the Hall of Fame.

He is still doing well with the short and medium length passes, but it looks like the hip injury is limiting how well he can throw the deep ball, or maybe it is just the coverage that our receivers have gotten, but the passing game hasn't been as explosive as it once was. I think that he still has a year or two left in him, but some of what has happened with us this year is concerning.

Luckilly, we have Matt Leinart, who I believe is one of the best backups in the NFL and he could be a starter on several teams in the NFL right now. Even though he had a good rookie year on a Cardinals team that was nowhere as good as it was last year [and seemingly never recovered from the infamous Monday Night Game that made Denny Green lose it], the Quarterback Rotation and the broken collarbone screwed over his entire second year. Thank God that Kurt put up some amazing numbers after Leinart went down, or Whisenhunts first year would have been crap.

It also seems like the year off after the injury may have helped him. From what I have seen, Leinart looks more mature now, and he had a great Preseason, including the near comeback against the Packers in the second half that almost made that game bearable.

I believe that Leinart could be like Aaron Rodgers, it is almost the same situation, except Leinart has been a starter for an entire season while Rodgers didn't do much until Brett Favre "retired", and it is pretty obvious to me that sitting behind Favre helped out Rodgers a lot. Hopefully, Leinart being with Warner for the last couple years could help him do the same thing for the Cardinals that he did with the Trojans.

Just so I can be clear with what I think, Leinart should get some time in the games when we have a lead, especially when we play the Rams, but I don't think he should take over yet this year unless Warner has some kind of meltdown over the next couple of games. I do think that he will take over sometime next season.

What does everyone else here think?

 	<fieldset class="poll-box">

Let him play in the 4th quarter whenever it is possible, get him ready for when its time to take over for Warner.

Should Warner get the HOOK?

I think that we should give Leinart a shot. Let's face it we just lost to the Panthers. Can it get any worse? I really want to know what all the Cardinal fans think about this situation. We have a young eager QB ready to step in and help the team win, and on the other hand we an old, slow QB that has thrown 11 TD's and 11 INT's with the best receiving core in the NFL! The NFL isn't about making friends or what happend the year before (look what happend with Bledsoe and Brady) it's a business and if a QB isn't performing, it's just like anyone of us not doing our job! Do you get a little slap on the wrist or do you lose your job? Your gone! This preseason and during practice Leinart clearly has shown that he is ready and that's according to Coach Whiz. WHAT DO OUR CARDINAL FANS FEEL SHOULD GO DOWN?
Arizona Cardinals Open Draft Thread

Bad, Disappointing, Disgusting loss = Don't want to talk about it

I know I'm not the only one out there who'd rather just sweep yesterday's patchetic showing by the Cardinals under the rug and move on. With that in mind (and since we haven't had a draft thread in a while), I thought we could talk a little NFL draft......

(And no this doesn't mean that I'm giving up on the season or don't think we're playoff bound, I'd just rather focus on something else right now (call it a rebound-topic)).

Needs (IMO, in no particular order):

Offensive Tackle: First, Mike Gandy will be a free agent after this season so they'll have to decide if he's worth resigning and there's always the talk of Levi Brown (hopefully) moving to guard. Either way you look at this an upgrade is needed at the tackle position very soon.

Inside Linebacker: The big question here is Karlos Dansby. If he stays then there's no need and we move on. If he leaves (as expected) this might just be the biggest need heading into the draft.

Outside Linebacker: Chike Okeafor is a free agent after this season and Clark Haggans isn't exactly a force as a pass rusher. Hopefully Cody Brown can step into one starting spot next year but we need another bona-fide pass rusher to groom on the other side, if not a guy who can start immediately.

Nose Tackle: The big question here is Gabe Watson. If he's a future starter at nose tackle then the need is dimished a great deal but so far the big man hasn't wrestled the starting job away from veteran Bryan Robinson and he's registered a grand total of nine tackles in seven games.

Offensive Guard: While I won't pretend to make you guys think that I'm breaking down game tape of the offensive line, especially the interior line, I think it's fairly obvious to most that the offensive line is one of the weak spots of this team. It might take an incredible value for them to use an early round pick on a guard but I think it's possible.

Guys who interest me (again in no particular order):

Jerry Hughes (6-3, 257): You know that one guy every year that you fall in love with and desperately hope your team drafts....meet my man crush of 2090-2010. Hughes, a defensive end from TCU, was among the nation's leaders in sacks (15), tackles for loss (19.5) and forced fumbles (6) last season and he's wreaking havoc again this year (nine sacks through eight games). The former running back is a quick off the ball and can obviously move in space. The best news is that he's only been on the defensive side of the ball for four years so he's still getting better. Projected Round: Late 1st - Mid 2nd

Brandon Spikes or Rolando McClain (6-3, 256 & 6-4, 248): If you're looking for Karlos Dansby's replacement in the first round, look no further than either of these two guys. Spikes might have been the first ILB drafted last season if he'd have come out but he chose to return to Florida and despite an injury that's caused him to miss 2 1/2 games he's doing solid work again this year. McClain already plays in a 3-4 at Alabama so he might be a better fit for Arizona and he's more athletic than Spikes. Both are very productive and could be day one starters.

Phil Taylor (6-4, 355): If he choose's to come out, Taylor could be a mid-round option with the potential to grow into a future starting nose tackle. The big man transferred from Penn State to Baylor and has had a decent season even though some expected quite a bit more from him. He still leads the Baylor defense in QB hurries and has blocked two kicks which is impressive considering he's basically a space eater.

Ok your turn......what are the Cardinals biggest draft needs? What players have caught your eye so far?

The Sky Is Not Falling On The Cardinals

I was concerned about the Panthers game. They are a talented team and should have a much better record, but Delhomme kept losing the games for them by his stupid mistakes. The Panthers got smart and didn't make Delhomme do too much against the Cardinals, and the Cards couldn't get much done to force the issue. Panthers have a good defense and a good running game, and if Delhomme doesn't need to throw too much then they can play with anyone.

Nevertheless, it is a disappointing loss and I have mentioned that I thought this game would be more or a barometer of where the Cards are than the Giants game. So what have I learned... The Cards are pretty much what I thought; (no Denny Green reference intended), a 9-7 or 10-6 team that will still likely win the division. Actually the Cards have the exact record I thought they would have after 7 games, I just had them losing to the Giants and beating the Panthers.

As odd as it sounds, this game wasn't that significant in the big picture, (the Giants win gave them some cushion). I realize all wins are important and you nenver know what game will be significant until the end of the season but in the NFC West the key is to win the division games. I really think the key to the season will be to sweep the remaining division games, all games they should win given the Cards' talent level. If they are able to win their division games that would put their win total at 8. By my thinking then they would need to win 1-2 more games outside the division to win the division; Detroit and/or Tennessee come to mind.

If they lose any more division games then obviously they will have to make up the difference outside the division and that increases the level of difficulty to make the playoffs. Although I honestly think that the Cards can beat any of the teams outside of the division left on their schedule, (Bears, Vikings, Packers, and the fore mentioned Titans and Lions), wins within the division is what is paramount.

The loss to the Panthers frustrates like any loss but the Panthers are a good team and they have a lot of talent, more than any other team in the division and more than any other team on the horizon, except Packers and Vikings. I do not think the sky is falling. It was just one of those games.

Now if the Cards lose to Seattle, St. Louis, or San Fran then I may start to get nervous.

Will the Real Arizona Cardinals Please Remain Standing Up?

Well, as some of you may recall, I asked the Real Arizona Cardinals to Please Stand Up last week that talked a little bit, in no particular order, about some of my thoughts on the game. One of my points in asking the question was to get the team to play up to their potential. The Cardinals responded with a great win at the Meadowlands in NYC, so i decided to continue this week with another post asking the Cardinals to keep being the team we hope they can be.

So regarding this game, my thoughts, again in no particular order (why change something that isn't broken or maybe it is broken but it's working (I'll leave being organized to the able coaching staff of the site)):

The weather & the roof: There is actually an NFL rule regarding the roof and opening or closing it. The Cardinals have a plain English breakdown of the rule here: http://www.azcardinals.com/stadium/a-to-z-guide.html if you scroll down to Retractable Roof Movement. It supposed to warm up over the weekend to around 86 so the roof most likely will remain closed. However, if it is open, the Carolina team and bench, along with a significant portion of the fans sitting on the visitor (east side of the stadium) are gonna get nice and toasty. As we all know the AZ sun can really beat down on you even on a nice day here. I can tell you, I walked over to the sunny side of the stadium once in the first year and there is a huge difference in the feel between the sunny side and the shaded side. The cards website estimates it feels 15 degrees warmer in the sun, but I personally think 25 degrees is probably a closer number as there is absolutely no breeze in the stadium even with the roof open. The Cardinals suggest you can call the Cardinals Roof Hotline at 623-433-7663 on the way to the stadium to find out if the roof will be open or closed (I can only assume that want a passenger to call as they would not possibly want the driver to call while driving!?!?!) SInce I sit on the shaded side of the stadium, I hope we open the roof and cook us some panther meat.

Our Run D - Just like last week I am again real excited to see our run defense against the tandem of Williams and Stewart. If we shut them down and can get a few points on the board, the game gets put into the unsteady hand of Jake Delhome, which is what we want to see and leads me to . . .

Creating turnovers - shut down the run and get after Jake. My fantasy footbal site actually has the Cards D ranked #2 and is predicting atleast one pick six and said the defense could score 30+ points in the game if things get out of hand.

After last week, I'd like to see the offense get off to a quick solid start and build a decent first half lead then HAND THE ROCK TO BEANIE the whole second half and get him a 100 yd rushing game.

If you have never been to a game, try to go some time. The 12th man has really gotten going in the Nest and the defense really does feed off it during the game. I expect the crowd to be especially loud after last weeks victory.

Last meeting Playoffs Jan. 10 @ Carolina (Divisional Playoff) W, 33-13 You may recall this game with fond memories, but it was the start of the Nightmare for Jake Delhome, who frankly still does not appear to have recovereed from that game. I can't beleive they gave this guy a contract extension in the off season.

Whiz record in regular season against Carolina 0-2, Playoffs 1-0

Cards lifetime versus Panthers 3-6.

Cards in Arizona versus the Panthers 0-3 (Ouch!) This needs to change.

Cards last 5 regular season against the Panthers 0-5 (OUCH!) (Maybe I need to consider stopping with the past record, although it makes me appreciate the team we have now even more.)

Game History:

Oct. 26, 2008, @ Carolina Panthers L, 23-27 (Steve Smith did step out of bounds on that play)

Oct. 14, 2007, Carolina L 10- 25

Oct. 9, 2005, Carolina L 20-24

Nov. 21, 2004, At Carolina L 10-35

Dec. 14, 2003, Carolina L 17–20

Oct. 6, 2002, At Carolina W 16–13

Dec. 30, 2001, At Carolina W 30–7

Nov. 19, 1995, At Clemson Univ. L 27-7

John Fox is likely on the hot seat this season and I think he is likely to take the blame for extending Delhome, if he doesn't turn around his season. This is his 8th and likely last season in Carolina.

So, let's open the roof, light up the panthers and have a great game!

Q&A with Panther Fans

Jaxon here from Cat Scratch Reader. Though we are working on the traditional Blogger 5 question Q&A I thought I would put up a fanpost for the ROTB readers to ask questions as well. Andrew already has one up on our site that is going well if you want to check it out.

So does anybody have any questions? You guys have to be feeling pretty good so far in defending your division title. You've got your favorite whipping boy Jake Delhomme coming to town to add to his league leading INT total (13). He's working a 7 game INT streak that I'm sure he will keep going. Yes, Panther fans are bewildered that he has been announced the starter for this game but I expect it to be his last. You guys won't need to do much game planning on either side of the ball, just pull out what you did last January as I'm sure that will work (do you sense a little pessimism?) I will say that no matter how much I think the Panthers will lose and I can't make that prediction. Just can't do it. If the Panthers win (big IF) I'm thinking its something like 28-24. More entertaining is the over/under on the number of Jake Delhomme INT's. I'm thinking he hits his average this week and throws 2.

Feel free to talk some smack too, I would if the table was reversed. I'll check back to answer or some of my other readers will probably chime in too.

some players never learn

OPEN MOUTH INSERT FOOT

(Editor's Note: This story was orginally posted on our 'mothership' site, SBNation.com. The full article and recent updates can be found here.)

While we await the findings of the Chiefs internal investigation into what Larry Johnson did, or didn’t say, and how long he’ll be suspended, we can sit back and enjoy the outburts of former KC coach Marty Schottenheimer. Here’s a taste of what he had to say on his SIRIUS NFL radio show today:

“Maybe he thinks that he can force his way out (of Kansas City). Let me ask you this, of the other 31 teams in the National Football League, who in the world is going to bring him into their locker room?

“Whether they’re losing or, certainly they won’t if they’re winning. But, to me, the guy doesn’t have the skill level to warrant the kind of b.s. that they’re putting up with out there and I would not be surprised to see them run him right out of town.”

Just a sec, Mr. Schottenheimer: you mean to tell me there wouldn’t be 31 teams lining up to sign a 30-year-old, 2.7 YPC running back? You jest.

Oct 27 1:24p by Chris Mottram - 0 comments

Considering how Larry Johnson spent his past two days -- lashing out against his head coach and directing homophobic slurs at both a fan (via Twitter) and the media (in person) -- it is hardly surprising that today the Kansas City Chiefs told him to keep far away from the team.

Chiefs running back Larry Johnson has been asked to stay away from team activities, and he is not at team headquarters today as Kansas City returns to practice.

It is not a suspension but is similar to the punishment Johnson faced after last year's bye week, when the Chiefs benched him after a series of arrests.

The official statement from the team:

The Kansas City Chiefs and the National Football League are continuing to investigate the alleged comments made by Larry Johnson. Until that review is complete, the Chiefs have instructed Larry to refrain from practicing with the Chiefs or participating in other team activities. A decision regarding Larry’s status will be made once the investigation has concluded.

November And December Schedule For The Cardinals

In what appeared to be a very duanting November and December schedule for the Cardinals might not be so duanting anymore. If you take a look at the November Opponents: Carolna (2-4), Chicago (3-3) Seattle (2-4), St. Louis (0-7 and really looking bad) and Tennessee (0-6 and looking equally as bad as St. Louis) they have a combined record of 7-24. That is awful considering that both Chicago, Tennessee and Carolina all had winning records last season and most of all of the personnel has returned for all those teams. When the schedule came out I thought the Cardinals were going to maybe at the end of this stretch be maybe 7-4, or maybe even 6-5 but now they could possibly be 9-2 and on an 8 game winning streak before they play their December schedule.

The December schedule is a bit tougher but very managable. Minnesota (6-1) will be a good game but it's at home then San Fransicso (3-3) will be tough as well Detroit (1-6 and still in rebuiding mode) St. Louis (0-7) and Green Bay (4-2).

Will these teams be better by the time the Cardinals play them?? Is it a possibility for the Cardinals to win maybe 12 or 13 games in the regular season?? What say you?

The Month of November is Shapely Up Nicely for the Cardinals

Sure a 4-2 record and a division lead is something we should all be thankful for but the Cardinals have the opportunity to go on a serious run over the next five weeks. Their next five opponents have a combined record of 7-24 and not a single team has a winning record. While we might normally be worried that three of these games are on the road, not so much this year. Check out the next five:

Carolina Panthers (2-4)

@ Chicago Bears (3-3)

Seattle Seahawks (2-4)

@ St. Louis Rams (0-7)

@ Tennessee Titans (0-6)

Trips to Chicago and Tennessee won't be layups by any means but these are five very winnable games. Just imagine heading into the month of December with a 9-2 record (or even 8-3 if you want to be modest). We'd again be talking about playing for a bye or even the #1 seed. To sweeten the pot even more the Niners play at Indianapolis and at Green Bay during this same stretch. If we take care of business, we could easily have a three or four game lead in the West heading into the final five games. What will our record be after these five games?

Statement Victory For The Cardinals

In a place where the Cardinals have not fared well over the years the defense helps the Cardinals to an impressive 24-17 victory over the New York Giants Sunday night. The Cardinals defense stepped up immensely rattling Eli Manning and causing four huge turnovers to seal the victory. The victory also makes the Cardinals 3-0 on this year which equals the amount of regular season road victories last season as well as winning for the second time in as many games on the east coast. This game also in a way makes up for the embarassing loss to the Colts in their other national television appearance of the season.

Defense set the tone early on for both teams. The first team to make a big play was the Giants when they stopped a blossoming opening drive by the Cardinals when Justin Tuck stripped Tim Hightower inside the New York 30 yard line on the opening possession of the game. The Cardinals stepped on the Giants second possession when Dominique Rodgers-Cromarte intercepted an end zone pass meant for Domenik Hicks. Then the Giants got the first points of the game when their drive started at the Cardinals 29 when Terrell Thomas intercepted a pass meant for Larry Fitzgerald.

The Cardinals then responded with a Beanie Wells 13 yard run. The Giants reclaimed the lead when a tipped pass by Rodgers-Cromartie fell right. into Hakeem's Nicks hands for a 62 yard touchdown pass. After halftime the Cardinals took advantage of another short field by taking the lead for good on a Tim Hightower touchdown run. The Cardinals defense then took over. Another cardinal drive started at the New York 22 after Adrian caught a redirrected Eli Manning pass. From there they cashed it in for another touchdown with a six pass from Kurt Warner to Jason Wright. That gave the Cardinals a 24-14 lead going into the final quarter.

The Giants got a 20 yard field goal from Lawerence Tynes to cut the margin to 24-17. The Giants had two more chances to tie the game at the end. The first time Ahmad Bradshaw fumbled at the Cardinals 41 which was recovered by Matt Ware. After forcing the Cardinals to go three and out the Giants had another opportunity. Manning then drove the Giants from their own two yard line to the Cardinal 39 where he got intercepted by Antrel Rolle.

Finding prospects in the UFL

Odell Thurman continues to be a beast, but I wonder the likelihood of bringing in some other players from the league.

The UFL has stated that any of its players are allowed to sign with the NFL after the season is over. I expect a few of them to populate practice squads all across the league, but I am interested to know if the Cardinals are taking a look at anyone. LB Maurice Krum Jr. (http://www.und.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/crumjr_maurice00.html) could be an interesting UDFA prospect. Started every college game for 3 seasons, played in a 3-4 D his senior year, and currently plays for the Redwoods (6 TAK, 1 FR). Graham Gano (K) is a UDFA who competed for the starting job in Baltimore in the off-season, and has almost certainly drawn enough attention to play somewhere in the NFL. There are plenty of others who merit consideration, especially for teams with some holes in their roster.

I've noticed a lot of former Cards playing here (surprise?). Adam Bergen (TE), Chase Bullock (LB), Carlton Medder (G), Steve Sanders (WR), Marcel Shipp (RB), Wendell Bryant (DT), Enoka Lucas (C), Obafemi Ayanbadejo (FB), are all names I quickly recognized, not to mention ol' Denny. A couple of the guys were just here this summer.

Anyone in particular catch your eye? Am I the only one who actually watches the games? Lemme know what you think.
