Arizona Cardinals Player of the Week
Cardinal Of The Week: Week Seventeen
The Cardinals have ended their season with another Overtime win, this time over the Seahawks. Following that win, we can look at several players who stepped up in the win.
Last week, Larry Fitzgerald won the poll with 40% of the 80 votes that were cast (you guys are slacking off), Calais Campbell was close behind with 35%.
Cardinal Of The Week: Week Sixteen
This is the first time the Cardinals have lost in a while, but at least they were able to make things interesting before making the loss to the Bengals even more excriciating. And at least I am now able to fill this article with more people than I would have if the game ended after the third quarter.
Last week, O'Brien Schofield also won his first CotW poll with 36% of the 230 votes closely followed by John Skelton with 33%.
Cardinal Of The Week: Week Fifteen
The Cardinals are still doing it the Tebow way. The Defense is keeping scores low, and the offense keeps making the big plays when they need to. In the end, the Cardinals get another close win by taking down the Browns 20-17 in Overtime and getting back to .500 after their 1-6 start.
Last week, Larry Fitzgerald won the poll with 52% of the 276 votes that were cast.
Cardinal Of The Week: Week Fourteen
Man the Cards are on a roll right now, and it was so sweet for them to get a win over the 49ers who have become the most hated team in the division for most of us.
Just another great team win where the offense made some big plays in the second half, and the defense just continued to make huge plays throughout the entire game.
Last week, you guys also went with my cop out pick so I didn't have to choose from all the deserving players and 50% of the total 267 voters went with the entire Defense
Cardinal Of The Week: Week Thirteen
A win, such a sweet thing to see over this stretch where the Cards have now won four of their last five after taking down the Dallas Cowboys in Overtime (Whenever Dallas comes to UofP there is always some crazy ending huh?). It is so nice to get a win like this over a team that the Cardinals fanbase hates a lot.
This was a complete team win where a ton of people played well, but there are a few guys who deserve extra recognition, along with one group who I am going to single out even though I should be basing this on individuals.
And last week, Beanie shockingly received 86% of the 212 votes after his game that put some new franchise records in the book.
Cardinal Of The Week: Week Twelve
These are so much more fun to do after a win, especially when two of the guys that will be on this list just made it into the record books after the Cardinals notched a 23-20 win against the Rams on Sunday.
Last week, because of how bad the game was, I just did a poll asking who played the worst, and you guys went with John Skelton with 49% picking him. That result will not go into the overall results for these polls.
(Anti) Cardinal Of The Week: Week Eleven
After a game like this, it is tough to list the positives. Somehow, I managed to do it for the debacle against the Vikings, but after this inexplicably awful loss to the 49ers that gets rid of all of the positive feelings from the last two weeks, I have to go back to something from last season.
Yes, today, I am just going to list the players who are the biggest part of the loss.
Larry Fitzgerald also won last weeks positive poll with 41% of the vote, the Defense as a whole was not far behind with 39%.
If I was doing the normal poll this week, I would probably just give it to Calais Campbell after another great game by him. Daryl Washington also made some good things happen including a red zone interception of Alex Smith that was only the second one of his entire career with the 49ers.
John Skelton Nominated For GMC Never Say Never Moment Of The Week Award
After the Arizona Cardinals defeated the Philadelphia Eagles during a ferocious (ya, ferocious) 4th quarter comeback this past Sunday, John Skelton has now been nominated to win the ever-so prestigious award of the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week!
For his two big drives in the fourth quarter and the game winning TD with less than two mintues to go, Skelton has been placed among two other players as a possibility to win the honors. Let's take a look at the competition he is going up against and why he should still win.
