NFL Mock Draft 2012: Picking For The Giants
With the 31st pick, the Patriots took OLB Chandler Jones out of Syracuse.
Now the world champions are up. They would like to get better at inside linebacker, at offensive tackle (especially left tackle) and tight end.
NFL Mock Draft 2012: Picking Again For The Patriots
The readers have voted and with the 30th pick of the first round, the San Francisco 49ers take Stanford tight end Coby Fleener.
The Patriots are up again in this mock draft. They added a linebacker in Don'ta Hightower. Their biggest needs still are outside linebacker, at cornerback and safety.
2012 NFL Mock Draft: The Final Mock With A Trade For The Cardinals
The days have been ticking by, we have seen every possibility, we have listened to every talking head, and now we wait to see how the weeks of preparation and big boards turn out Thursday night. We've heard strong talk from the Arizona Cardinals front office, stating that they will not be locked into an offensive lineman in the first round just for the sake of addressing a need, and we have heard about the willingness to pick up a special player when they are available at your pick, such as Ryan Williams. The real first round is always wild and different than anyone can ever truly predict, but based on certain team needs and draft day impulses I think we've got something that will more closely resemble this years draft than you've seen on a lot of other sites. Same rules apply: first round only and trades are permitted. With that in mind, here is the final Revenge of the Birds mock draft for 2012.
The first pick of the 2012 NFL Draft is..
NFL Mock Draft 2012: Picking For The 49ers
The votes are in. The pick for the Baltimore Ravens will be Peter Konz.
Next up are the San Francisco 49ers.
They have needs at receiver, cornerback and at guard.
ROTB Community Mock Draft, Pick 31: Patriots Get Their Pass Rusher
This pick was made by psknapp
With the 31st pick, the New England Patriots select Nick Perry, defensive end from USC.
As noted after the previous Patriot's pick, New England needs a pass rusher and Nick Perry is the most dynamic one available. He's an explosive pass rusher, a great athlete and he has tremendous potential, especially if he improves against the run and in coverage. If he works on his conditioning, however, his ability to get to the quarterback alone makes him a steal at 31. (Considering he was mentioned as potentially a better pick at the previous slot, I hope he'll be acceptable here.)
2012 NFL Mock Draft: Picking For The Baltimore Ravens
With the 28th pick, according to your votes, the Green Bay Packers select Boise State linebacker Shea McClellin to play opposite Clay Matthews. Now the Baltimore Ravens are up.
Baltimore has its greatest needs at offensive tackle, at center with Matt Birk getting up in age and at inside linebacker.
ROTB Community Mock Draft, Pick 30: 49ers Pick Up LB Upshaw
With the 30th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers select Courtney Upshaw, LB, Alabama
In what is seemingly the fall of the draft, Upshaw is still available. This is not a position of need for the Niners, but with the possibility of adding another talented piece to their already elite defense, they jumped up and couldn't get the name card to the podium quickly enough. Upshaw adds another potent pass rusher with a great motor. Plus, having him in the lineup working with Patrick Willis will only help him. There are questions about his athletic ability, but not his performance.
NFL Mock Draft 2012: The Readers Pick For the Packers
Even though it is not necessarily a team need, the readers think that the New England Patriots will gladly select Don'ta Hightower, who inexplicably fell to to the 27th pick.
Now the Packers are up. Green Bay has defensive needs. They could use help at defensive end, outside linebacker and at safety.
