In a bit of horrible news from the NFL scene, I'm sad to report the death of Sean Taylor. The Redskins' safety was shot in his home Monday during a break-in at his home. He died Tuesday morning in a hospital. He was 24 years old.
Regarded as an amazingly talented defensive back, Taylor has had troubles in his past off the field, but family and friends thought he had put those things behind him.
"From the first day I met him, from then to now, it's just like night and day," Redskins receiver James Thrash said. "He's really got his head on his shoulders and has been doing really well as far as just being a man. It's been awesome to see that growth."
My condolences and prayers go to the Taylor family.
