Indianapolis Beats Arizona for 2012 Super Bowl

Well we knew the odds were stacked against the Super Bowl coming to Glendale Arizona again so quickly, especially considering a premier franchise also had a brand new stadium. It will be the first time that Indianapolis has hosted a Super Bowl and the first time the big game has ever been in the state of Indiana. The Arizona Cardinals were a long shot considering they just hosted a Super Bowl but there was some hope the success of February's game would lead to another nomination.

Indy's new stadium, Lucas Oil Stadium, cost a reported $750 million dollars and can hold up to 75,000 fans. It'll be the first time the Super Bowl has been in a cold weather city since Super Bowl XL in Detroit. Arizona should be on a short list for the next several years though because of the relatively new stadium and near guarantee of pleasant weather.
