Cardinals RB Beanie Wells Has Pinched Nerve, Expected To Play Sunday

In the 4th quarter of Sunday's game, there was a moment when Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells was forced to the sideline in obvious discomfort. He was seen squinting and required the attention of the Cardinals training staff. We haven't heard much since then but today coach Whisenhunt did state that Beanie received a pinched a nerve at the hands of a helmet that banged into the bridge of his eyebrow. He was knocked woozy and was suffering from blurry vision. No one has suggested it was a concussion and with the recent league issues regarding concussions that is certainly good news.

Wells has received the bulk of the carries the last three weeks(45). In the first eight games of the season, Wells had 60 carries. Based on his current numbers, he's projected to end the final eight games of the season with 128, more then doubling his first half production. With the Rams coming up, Wells is expected to play and should get the majority of the carries again. Tim Hightower hasn't been as fortunate, getting only 8 carries the last two games for 7 yards.
