The power rankings are in and it's obvious that no one knows what to think about the Cardinals after their surprisingly close win at the Detroit Lions. Six power rankings had the Cardinals at an 8 or below, while six rankings had them at a 9 or higher. Last week they averaged an 8.2, this week their average is 8.5.

They sure do a good job of making things interesting. But they're the division champs and they can rest the next two games since they really don't matter.

You figure them out. Dangerous but inconsistent—so much depends on Kurt Warner.

Regular readers of the rankings know my distaste for Arizona's act — making you believe in them (aka smacking the Vikings), then making you look silly again (losing to 49ers with chance to clinch the division, needing a TD in the last two minutes to beat the Lions).

A routine win for the Cardinals.

What gives, man? 24 points to the Detroit Lions in the second half and late-game heroics needed to clinch the NFC West? Really? Because that's not the sort of stuff that potential consecutive-year Super Bowl runner-ups are made of, Mr. Kurt Warner.
