OTA's kick back up today after a long holiday weekend so we'll try and give daily updates on attendence and any other important news. For now though, here's what chattering about the Cardinals.

  • Fourth round pick, Greg Toler has been compared to Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie quite a bit since he was drafted and he's spent most of his time trying to soak up as much as possible from DRC.
  • This time last year Matt Leinart was making news for all the wrong reasons but so far this year he is impressing coaches and fellow players with his maturity and patience. Ken Whisenhunt praised his work ethic since being demoted and Leinart even went as far to say, "I always wanted to be here, and I want to be here until I'm done playing." (It could be worse, this could be our backup QB from the same draft class.)
  • Early Doucet is one of the young guys who is benefiting from Anquan Boldin's MIA status during OTA's, much like Steve Breaston did last year. Doucet is still buried on the depth chart but some coaches are already predicting a "Breaston-like" breakout season in 2009.
  • Mike Sando lists the top 10 NFC West players to build a team around and Larry Fitzgerald tops the lists. DRC and Darnell Dockett also make the list, but not a single QB or pass rusher makes the top 10.
  • Kurt Warner was recently on the Dan Patrick Show and he's still lobbying for Anquan Boldin. He's fairly confident that Boldin will be his teammate this season but is worried that he won't be happy.
  • Bill Davis is tinkering with the defense in his first season as defensive coordinator but he knows that they have to improve in the red zone and points allowed.
  • Bryant McFadden, the big free agent signee of this off season, was recently on KTAR with Doug and Wolf (check out the audio right here) and talked about playing for the Cardinals, the similarities between Arizona and Pittsburgh, his style of play and much more.
