Cardinals' Safety Adrian Wilson Selected To AP All-Pro 1st Team

As Adrian Wilson and the Arizona Cardinals defense prepares to face the New Orleans Saints in the divisional round of the playoffs on Saturday, he can add another accomplishment to his list in 2009. Wilson was selected to the AP's All-Pro 1st team, ironically along side Saint's safety Darren Sharper.

It's Wilson's first time being added to the All-Pro team. He was added to the '06 and '08 All-Pro 2nd teams before.

Wilson was also voted to the Pro Bowl this year as the starting strong safety, and recently joined the 20/20 sack-interception club week 16 against the Rams. For the year, Wilson has 74 tackles, 2 sacks, 5 interceptions, and 1 forced fumble. The Cardinals will need every bit of Wilon's efforts this Saturday when he lines up opposite of Drew Brees and the Saints offense.

At first glance it may be surprising that Larry Fitzgerald didn't make the cut, but he's had a down year compared to what he's put up in the past. Fitzgerald was tied for the league lead for touchdowns(13) this year, and was selected to the All-Pro 1st team last season. Andre Johnson and Wes Welker were the selected wide receivers.
