Jermaine Gresham | Tight End | Okalhoma

Strengths: Gresham is clearly the best tight end in the draft and when you look at his skills you can see why. He has a very good burst off of the line despite his size and has the speed to make it to the next level. He's also worked tremendously hard to improve his hands. He will make the occasional leaping catch and is tall enough(6'5) to out-reach most linebackers. He's a great route runner and is even better after the catch. He'll make several defenders miss and is very hard to bring down. He's a good blocker and will drive defensive backs 20-30 yards on screen plays.

Weaknesses: He needs to continue working on catching. He'll sometimes short arm passes and can carry the ball to loosely. He's an effective blocker but not elite. He needs to work on picking up outside cornerback blitzes and needs to improve his hand and footwork.

Why the Bengals will draft him: The Bengals are in need of a tight end and landing Gresham in the first round secures that need. Cincinnati was a surprise team last season, led by their underrated defense. Other then Cedric Benson, the offense struggled to put points on the board. Gresham gives Carson Palmer a dominant tight end that will serve as his security blanket for years.
