Arizona Cardinals' Greg Toler looks to make big impression at cornerback
Kent Somer's talks about Greg Toler and his progression since last year. He's competing for the second string spot at corner, and it all rests on his shoulders. From Whisenhunt: "Greg's got to earn it," Whisenhunt said. "Physically, he's very gifted and we're going to have to see him do it on a consistent basis in order for him to become a starter. But you're excited because he does have the athletic tools and you have seen him do it in a game. But can he continue to do that? That's the big question."

KentSomers - Putting a bow on it
Somers sums up the mini camp that was held over the weekend. He talks about the annual dinner in which the rookies attended, the fact that Matt Leinart isn't wearing a glove on his throwing hand, and that the Cardinals have talked to veteran corner Will James.

Kent Somers - And on the final day...
Before the final day, Somers expressed some thoughts. Regarding the offensive line: "The offensive line is deep, deep, deep. The first two units should be impressive. The third unit should be good enough that the second half of preseason games won't look like Pop Warner contests."

Levi likes the left
Darren Urban talks about Levi Brown's switch to the left side. He's happy about the move but there will be an adjustment.

Evaluating Minicamp
Darren Urban also sums up the mini camp with this quote from Ken Whisenhunt: "When you get to the fifth practice and you’ve installed a lot and you see their heads are spinning, you see the challenge in front of you," Whisenhunt said. "You don’t come out of it too high. I am excited about our young players and what they can do for us. (Minicamp) is a great evaluation tool but it’s one step in the process. You get excited for the OTAs because you can build on it."

DRC "65 percent" but efforting
Urban also checks in on the status of Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. DRC says he's almost healthy but still has a ways to go. Nonetheless, he will be ready come the start of the regular season.

Would Bulger put Cardinals over top? - NFC West Blog - ESPN
Mike Sando talks about Adam Schefter's report that the Cardinals should sign free agent quarterback Marc Bulger. After they signed Derek Anderson, it seems too little too late.

Followup: NFC West salaries to watch - NFC West Blog - ESPN
Sando also readdresses some salaries hits in the NFC West that are at least $4 million against the cap. Of the 13 players, the Cardinals only had one in Antrel Rolle - who was released. The Seahawks on the other hand, have the majority.

Leadership Around The Corner
Darren Urban talks about the leadership within the Cardinals defensive secondary. DRC isn't ready to be the guy. Who is? Michael Adams, but he understands things can change dramatically between now and the start of the season.

Arizona Cardinals' Ken Whisenhunt pleased with first step
Kent Somers discusses Ken Whisnehunt's pleasure with the offseason thus far. What's the topic of discussion? The battle at cornerback.
