First, quarterback Kurt Warner retired. Then on the first day of free agency, inside linebacker Karlos Dansby and safety Antrel Rolle signed elsewhere and receiver Anquan Boldin was traded to Baltimore. It was the football equivalent of watching oil spill out of busted pipeline, and even the Cardinals seemed a little pessimistic about the chances of cleaning up the mess. Three months later, the Cardinals feel much better about themselves.
