A few surprising cuts yesterday, and Leinart is still with the team. Will he be here when the day is done? We'll see...

Now lets get to an earlier than usual batch of links since I want to have this up before the rest of the roster cuts begin.

Arizona Cardinals trade Reggie Wells to Eagles
The Cardinals traded starting right guard Reggie Wells to the Eagles Friday for an undisclosed draft pick. ESPN.com reported it will be a sixth-round pick, and the Eagles say it's for the 2011 draft.

Arizona Cardinals release tight end Anthony Becht
There were no major surprises among the 16 players released by the Cardinals on Friday, but parting with veteran tight end Anthony Becht was a minor one.

Cards, Leinart continue their game of chicken | ProFootballTalk.com

Matt Leinart awaiting fate with Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals made 19 roster moves Friday but the biggest one is likely to come Saturday by 3 p.m., when NFL teams have to reach the 53-player limit.

Hall gets zinged
Last night, coach Ken Whisenhunt preached caution with rookie quarterback Max Hall. It seems the coaches — with some help from the media relations staff — did their best to get that message with Hall.

Cardinals report (09.03): Hall, Komar in good position for roster spots
With final cuts set to take place in the next 24 hours, a handful of Cardinals players are left holding their breath. As expected, a select few seized the opportunity in the preseason finale and appear to be in line to make the 53-man roster. But others who failed to stand out are waiting on final decisions from coach Ken Whisenhunt.

Matt Leinart's future with the Arizona Cardinals is but one quarterback drama in the NFC West.

Matt Leinart's Career Needs Reviving! But How? | Bleacher Report
Matt Leinart might have just played his last game in Arizona. Leinart continued to throw short passes and couldn't seem to stretch the field in the Cardinals victory over the Redskins. Leinart still looks uncomfortable in the pocket and most likely is done wearing the Cardinal uniform.
