First off, I'd like to say that my thoughts and prayers are with Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and her family, it is horrible that someone would do something like that, and hopefully she will be okay.

As for the Playoffs.... do the Seahawks really have a 2008 Cardinals esqe run in them? I don't think any of us thought they had that in them last night. I was actually at just getting out of class and I was hanging out in the break room before Marshawn Lynch entered Beast Mode on the 67 yard run, and when that happened all you could hear was me and about 10 other people yelling and laughing. Probably the best run I have seen all year long.

Now, time for a few links, and feel free to use this as the gamethread for today's games.

"He kinds of fills the bill and could be a good bridge for a younger QB. (Ravens backup QB Marc) Bulger is the name still getting the biggest buzz, though." The insider added that he thought the Eagles would demand too high a price for QB Kevin Kolb.

New Orleans Saints vs. Seattle Seahawks - Recap - January 08, 2011 - ESPN
In a scene straight out of college, Pete Carroll stood in the middle of a pile on the midfield logo, jumping up and down with his players celebrating in unison. That's when Carroll's rowdy crew sent the defending Super Bowl champions packing, pulling one of the most unlikely upsets in playoff history, a 41-36 win over the New Orleans Saints.
