Keeping Momentum
Cards head to Philadelphia hoping to build on victory

Arizona Cardinals vs. Philadelphia Eagles - scouting report, prediction
Kent Somers takes a look at Sunday's game in Philadelphia, offers his prediction on the outcome.

Arizona Cardinals' trip to Philadelphia has far different meaning than expected
Forgive Cardinals and Eagles fans if they can't remember why they had Sunday circled on the calendar. The importance of the game between their teams has diminished considerably in the 3½ months since the Sharpies were used. In late July, this looked like appointment television viewing. The Cardinals traded cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a second round draft pick in 2012 to the Eagles for backup quarterback Kevin Kolb. This was the day Kolb was to make his return to Philadelphia in a critical game between two playoff contenders. Instead, Kolb isn't likely to play because of a foot injury, and both teams are hobbling into the game because of disappointments in the first half of the season. The Cardinals are 2-6, five games out of first in the NFC West, and have a road losing streak that's now at 11 games. The Eagles are 3-5, three games out of first in the NFC East, and have blown fourth-quarter leads in four games.

Building The Gameplan - PHI
Ron Wolfley and Jody Jackson build the gameplan for the Cardinals and Eagles match-up.

What Does "Make a Play" Mean?
"Somebody make a play!" You hear it often. Jody Jackson navigates the locker room in search of a definition for the often used phrase.

Well, Isn't That Special?
The Cardinals Special Teams units have proven to be consistent and able to make big plays. Paul Calvisi explains.

Arizona Sports News:

ASU football upset by Washington State
Freshman quarterback Connor Halliday threw for 494 yards and four touchdowns as Washington State beat Arizona State 37-27 on a wet, snowy Saturday night. Arizona State (6-4, 4-3 Pac-12) missed out on a chance to regain control of the South Division race after UCLA lost earlier Saturday. Washington State (4-6, 2-5) needed a win to stay in contention for a bowl and perhaps save coach Paul Wulff's job. Despite a mix of rain and snow and temperatures in the 30s, the game featured few turnovers and plenty of offense. Halliday, seeing his first extensive playing time at quarterback, completed 27 of 36 passes, and the yardage was a freshman passing record for WSU.

Arizona Wildcats football falls to Colorado in Pac-12 contest
Rodney Stewart ran for 181 yards and three touchdowns and threw for another, helping Colorado avoid its first winless season at 87-yeear Folsom Field with a 48-29 win over Arizona Saturday. Tyler Hansen threw two TD passes and hauled in Stewart's touchdown toss on a flea-flicker as the Buffaloes (2-9) recorded their first Pac-12 win after six losses in their new league since bolting the Big 12 last year. The Wildcats (2-8, 1-7) came in as double-digit favorites but fell behind quickly and their comeback attempt wasn't helped by the sustained 45 mph winds that gusted to 71 mph in the fourth quarter. Arizona's Nick Foles was 34 for 51 for 345 yards, but he had three interceptions and lost a fumble to go with his one touchdown.

NFL players, coaches with Penn State connections can expect to be questioned, at some point | ProFootballTalk
The Penn State scandal represents primarily, if not exclusively, a horrendous example of the manner in which the caretakers of a major college football program can choose taking care of the program over taking care of the young victims of warped and twisted criminal actions. As a result, we’ll be deferring most of the coverage to the folks at CFT, who have been all over ever angle of the story.
