NFL 'Expert' Picks Against The Spread, Week 9 Morning Games

As we approach Week 9 of the NFL season, it is time to take a look at the matchups and pick the games this week against the spread. This week's morning games are a little bit more evenly matched, but there are no marquee games really. Last week we went 8-5 against the spread and for the season we are 51-43. Again, if you want to make your picks against the spread and match wits with us here, you can join here (ID: 55411, PW: arizona). You too can see if you are an expert.

Hit the jump for the picks in the early games

New York Jets at Buffalo Bills (-2.0): The Bills are a perfect 4-0 at home. The Jets are 0-3 on the road, but have had a very difficult road schedule. They have, though, won their last two games. Look for the defense to cause problems for the passing game of Ryan Fitzpatrick and company. Pick: Bills +2.

Seattle Seahawks at Dallas Cowboys (-11.5): The Seahawks are just not a safe pick to make on the road. They were smoked a week ago by the Bengals at home. Dallas, though, seems to find ways to lose this season. A spread this big is a bit shady. However, Seattle is up to the task of getting beaten handily by a talented team on the road. Pick: Dallas -11.5.

Atlanta Falcons (-7.0) at Indianapolis Colts: The Colts are not going to be able to match up well with the power of RB Michael Turner. And while the Falcons on the road are far from a sure thing, you can give them a touchdown to one of the two worst teams in the league. Pick: Falcons -7.0.

Miami Dolphins at Kansas City Chiefs (-4.0): I am surprised the line is that low. Miami looks as bad as any team out there. Plus they are playing at Arrowhead. The Chiefs are coming off of a big division win over the Chargers. Four points is simply not enough to sway the pick the other way. Pick: Chiefs -4.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints (-8.0): Last season, after the Saints dropped a game to a lowly Arizona Cardinals team, they came back and whipped the Bucs in Tampa 31-6. Bad timing this year for the Bucs again, as the Saints lost by 10 points to the 1-6 Rams. This time they face off in the Superdome. Get ready for a Saints beatdown. Pick: Saints -8.0.

San Francisco 49ers (-3.5) at Washington Redskins: The Niners' defense is very, very good against the run. They have yet to allow a rushing touchdown. The Redskins have been rotating running backs and they have John Beck as their quarterback. As much as it pains me to pick San Fran, how can you not when the line is that close. Pick: Niners -3.5.

Cleveland Browns at Houston Texans (-11.0): Houston is at home with Arian Foster and Matt Schaub. Cleveland can't stop anyone running the ball. I don't see this going well for the Browns. Pick: Texans -11.0.

Stay tuned for our picks for the rest of the NFL schedule.
