NFL Power Rankings, Week 15: Where the Arizona Cardinals Stand

Weekly power rankings can be annoying to a lot of people, but a lot of people read them. Plus, even if we don't like them, we want to see where our own teams are ranked. You would think that after a big win over the San Francisco 49ers the Arizona Cardinals would see a big bump in their ranking, especially considering the fact that the team has won five of six. Unfortunately, aside from the ROTB rankings, it didn't happen.

See where the Cards sit around the web.

As you may have already read, our own power rankings have the Cards way up in the Top 10. Maybe we are homers, but if power rankings are to be a picture of the present, how many other teams are playing better than they are?

SB Nation has the Cardinals take a one slot bump up to 19. They note that the team looks "legit," but still have them behind the Bengals (lost four straight) and the Bears, whose offense is officially offensive.

ESPN inexplicably has the Cards dropping a spot, despite beating their sixth-ranked team. As one reader noted, the teams are ranked according to records, except for the Chiefs. Did they not do any homework this week?

CBS Sports was the kindest national outlet. They finally gave Arizona a decent jump, four spots, to number 20. But having them behind the Eagles? Asinine.

I get it, our own rankings are probably a little high for the masses. I don't think it's crazy, though. Arizona is playing as well as anyone in the league. Only the Packers, Texans and Broncos are on a better roll. And if there is one thing that should be a sure thing -- beating a 10-2 team should not push you back in rankings.
