Arizona Cardinals Game Balls For Week 16 Game Vs. Bengals

Getty Images

The Arizona Cardinals lost to the Cincinnati Bengals 23-16, thanks to three turnovers and a 23-0 deficit. They almost pulled off tying the score, but karma would have it that after the Bengals tried their hardest to give the Cardinals opportunities to show their Cardiac Cards mentality and penchant for winning in dramatic fashion, only to have Early Doucet fall down in the end zone wide open.

Nonetheless, there were a few Cardinals that had solid performances. Andre Roberts and Larry Fitzgerald each had six catches, Beanie Wells reached the 1000-yard mark on the season, Daryl Washington had another 11 tackles and Calais Campbell had another huge game with a sack, a forced fumble and seven tackles. Kerry Rhodes also had two fumble recoveries.

See who our writers selected to give game balls to and why.

Jess Root:

My game ball goes to Calais Campbell for yet another dominating performance up front. He overmatched the Cincinnati offensive line and made the big play of knocking the ball from Cedric Benson, giving the team a chance to come back in the fourth quarter.

cdeveau:

John Skelton for...I kid, I kid.

This week, Larry Fitzgerald. A few sweet catches, plenty of YAC. Hands down Fitz this week.

Jesse Reynolds:

Kerry Rhodes...

Tyler Nickel:

I'll give the ball to the whole defense for keeping this game respectable and within reach for a potential fourth quarter comeback. My second choice: Cedric Benson for his two timely fumbles.

GreaZzy:

Beanie Wells gets my gameball. Congratulations is due for his first 1000 yard season.

JoeCB1991:

Fitz and Campbell had a better overall game (And I voted for Fitz in CotW), but I have to give it to Beanie as a reward for going over 1,000 yards for the first time in his career, and hopefully not the last.

Skii:

Kerry Rhodes for recovering those two late-game fumbles.

...

Would you give a game ball to anyone else?
