Cardinals Vs. Seahawks: The Game Played As A Madden Simulation

Time for another Madden Sim, this week playing out the week seventeen season finale matchup between the Cardinals and Seahawks

Again, I am using 15 minute quarters, the rosters are the most recent ones, and the game is played through the Super Sim mode.

Skelton is expected to start on Sunday, so I have him starting in here again. Patrick Peterson also practiced on Friday and he has a chance to play so I put him out there too. I also replaced Joey Porter with Stewart Bradley now that he is on IR, Rob Housler also replaced Jim Dray to try and better reflect how the actual depth charts look.

Also, as a programing note for next week, I will post something looking at the numbers Madden has projected for the Cardinals over this entire season.

Game Summary:

It is time to see if the Cardinals can end their year on a high note.

The Cards were able to get the first and only points of the game with a five yard pass from Skelton to Todd Heap. Going into the second quarter the Hawks got on the board with a 25 yard kick from Hauschka. The Cardinals then scored again with Beanie taking a short pass 54 yards for a score, then the two teams traded field goals with one from 26 by Hauschka and the other from 52 by Feely to close out the half. The Cards went into the break with a 17-6 lead.

To start off the second half, Skelton continued his strong game by lobbing a 49 yard touchdown pass to Roberts, but the Hawks were able to respond with Tarvaris taking the ball in for a score himself from one yard out. Then in the fourth the Cardinals were able to basically put the game away with a nine yard pass from Skelton to Fitz for a score.

The Seahawks were able to score with a 44 yard kick from Hauschka and an 89 yard punt return by Leon Washington but it was too little too late as the Cards ended their season with a win.

My impressions from this game are mostly positive. Mainly the solid game by Skelton where he avoided turnovers for the second week in a row after most of his games this year were filled with interceptions. The Defense also gave up chunks of yards to Beast Mode but Tarvaris couldn't get anything going through the air and the Seahawks couldn't score touchdowns in the Red Zone. Overall a solid game.

So, in the end, the Madden Cardinals get a 31-23 win over the Seahawks. Their final record in Madden also improves to 7-9.
